Our Advice Process

You are the most important part of our business. You are at the centre of all of our advice and for this reason our advising process starts and ends with your opinion.

Only through understanding your aims and priorities in life can we offer the most suitable advice; whether it’s a desire for financial security, wanting to retire comfortably, or just making the most of your savings.

So, the first step:

Stage 1:

Contact us – by email or phone, we can take some details and arrange a time to meet or chat.

Stage 2:

Initial meeting – At our expense and without obligation. At your home or a convenient location of your choosing (and sometimes over the phone).

This stage will allow us to:

  • Explore your current financial situation and budget
  • Discuss your existing financial plans
  • Understand your financial objectives and goals
  • Obtain specific information about your existing savings or pensions
  • Explain our Terms of Engagement, our fees and charges
  • By the end of the initial meeting you will have decided whether you would like to proceed to the next stage.

Stage 3:

Your Financial Report – This detailed report is a discussion document and action plan based on the initial meeting, it contains our initial advice and if appropriate the specific products and providers we recommend.

To include:

  • Analysis of your current financial situation and existing arrangements
  • Detailed recommendations and solutions aimed at achieving your financial objectives and life goals
  • Specific information and illustrations from the recommended provider tailored to your requirements.
  • A breakdown of all costs and charges

At this stage you can take the report as a financial health-check and choose not to proceed further. However, the vast majority proceed to implementation, the next stage.

Stage 4:

Implementation of your Financial Plan – Having fully discussed your report we will implement the recommendations you have approved. This implementation involves:

  • Creating and amending your specific illustrations
  • Producing and assisting in the completion of application forms
  • Liaising with existing providers where appropriate i.e. pension or savings transfer
  • Following your application through to completion and chasing any outstanding items.
  • Arranging policy start-dates
  • Ensuring you receive all relevant policy or investment documents
  • Creating a suitability report for your records to document the decisions made and the advice given.

Stage 5 :

Ongoing Advice – We believe ongoing advice is essential to help ensure your financial plan is achieved and adhered to over time. You choose the level of ongoing service you feel you require from our easily comparable categories:
